Linda Hill - Lullaby For Linda

A tripped out bit of spiritual jazz from pianist Linda Hill, who also sings vocals on most of the tracks. The group's a west coast collective that features Adele Sebastian on flute, Sabir Matteen on tenor, Virilo Figueroa on percussion, and Everett Brown Jr on drums – and the record's got a free party kind of feel, similar to some of the later AACM work performed live during the 80s. The album features 4 long tracks, all with a mix of styles that recalls moments of 70s work on labels like Strata East or India Navigation – and titles include "Lullaby For Linda", "Children", and "The Creator's Musician".
